"Surikamigawa Dam" was built to protect downstream areas and make more effective use of river water. The Surikamigawa Dam Information Center is located on the lakeshore and is a source of easily understood information with its information panels and instructional computer sites and videos showing how the dam operates. You can even see a model of the dam's rear area and main facilities.
