In our shop we have a great number of souvenirs from Tsuchiyu Onsen. Among these, "peach wrapped in perilla" "wood ear with perilla seeds" and "Junen sesame dressing" seem to be the most popular. We also run a workshop for making kokeshi, and the young Tsuchiyu Kokeshi Workers are using a sixth generation "Jisuke model" for traditional kokeshi. The characteristic frizzy thick eyebrows have been features since the beginning of "Jisuke Kokeshi" but recently, cute smiling "Hohoemigaeshi" kokeshi are getting a great deal of attention from all over.
We also offer a "Kokeshi painting experience" where you can enjoy painting an original Tsuchiyu "Kokeshi" for 800 yen. Please come and see us.
