The famous "Keshi Manjiu" of "Ichimian" in Iizaka Onsen was awarded the 1st place prize at the National General Confection Exhibition.
"Keshi Manjiu" uses koshian red bean paste from Tokachi, Hokkaido, and lots of eggs to make the castella-like skin , and unlike the usual method of steaming, we bake them.
There is a flavor of spicy "Real mustard (Karashi No Mi)" in the red beans which make a good smelling harmony with the sweet bean paste, so that everyone, young and old, enjoys them.
In addition to "Keshimanjiu" Ichimian also has a moist coarse sponge cake for teatime or souvenirs. Everybody, we look forward to your visit!
